Thanks for the photo Tara
I actually bought this play suit over 6 years ago! I'm surprised its still in one piece (no pun intended). It's from an Americian shop called Old Navy but I've found this one here that is similar. This one from New Look is similar.

Sixth Look

The top is from New Look and the shorts are the same £6 shorts from Primark. Yes, I'm really getting my moneys worth out of them. The shoes are from Nike and are possibly the most comfortable shoes ever! I couldn't find the one I bought but i found this one which is similar.

The last look

This play suit is from Miss Selfridge from last summer. Although I found this one which I love just as much!

I also paired this with an American Eagle Bralette as this play suit is quite low cut and it looks strange when you pin it up with a safety pin.

That's it for this summer, let me know if you like any of the outfits or the clothes I have found. Also I'd love to see what you are wearing or wore this summer!

New York: Week 2

Hello,
I’m back again with another New York post for you guys. This week is the week that my bank account will never forget. I guess I could call this post shopping and history…. you’ll see why.

Day at the museum

After seeing that film I have always wanted to go there (The Museum of Natural History). I’ve already been to the Smithsonian and now this one, I only have to go to the London museum now to complete all three films haha. Walking up from the subway the museum is right in front as you when you ‘reach the surface’ and it is a sight to see. It looks exactly like the film from the outside with the statue of Teddy Roosevelt outside and those gigantic stone columns.

However, when you walk inside it's completely different to the film. A good different, because the ceiling as you walk in is amazing and there are sculptures all around to keep you busy as you stand in line for your ticket. You can choose how much you want to pay to go in or you can purchase a full price ticket which i think is a great idea as not everyone (including me) can afford a full priced ticket. Even without paying full price you still get access to all of the floors where there is so much to see!
My favourite was the Easter Island head (dumb dumb give me gum gum) and the blue whale model. I didn't take too many photos as i just took it all in so I do apologise for the lack of photos.

The newest addition to the museum, the Titanosaur one of the longest dinosaur skeletons at 122 feet long!

We also paid a small visit to Strawberry Fields, the memorial which is opposite to the sight where John Lennon was fatally shot. This was also a beautiful sight as someone had lay roses around the memorial, there were also people playing songs by both John Lennon and the Beatles as a tribute

......and grabbed a Grays Papya hot dog

The day my wallet won't forget

Well we all know whats going to happen if you let me loose on 34th street. However, I am not going to show you what I bought just yet, because I'm going to show you that in an America haul in a couple of weeks. We spent the whole day shopping and looking around at all the sights to see, including the New York Public Library where they were actually filming a TV show called Conviction so look out for me in the background! The day came to an end and we enjoyed our McDonald's (with Orange Coke! which was amazing!) whilst watching them film at the public library.

Bye for now,
 Beth

Whats in my carry on?

Hello!
This is a sad moment indeed as I am packing to leave New York. It's okay though because I'm still in America for another four weeks! While I was packing I had an idea, that I have seen many others do and that is what I am going to share with you today.

The first thing I put in my carry on is a jumper. Although I am traveling to Atlanta it is still very cold on the plane and who doesn't like to be cozy?

The next thing is headphones. I can sometimes be a very anxious traveler, and by having a pair of headphones with me I can play my favorite spotify playlist, sit back and relax for the two hour flight.

A phone lead is very handy sometimes as a lot of planes do offer USB charging ports. Always keep your phone charged whilst traveling!

A book, and most importantly this book! Its nice to get away sometimes definitely for me as I mentioned before I can be a very nervous traveler.

Sunglasses: I probably won't need them when I travel back to England but they will be needed for my trip to Atlanta.

Passport…… little bit obvious but you don't always need it when you're flying domestic.

Buy yourself a bottle of water when you get through security as they won't let you through with you own. Keep hydrated you don't want those pesky headaches when you land.

I like to bring a spray with me just to freshen up. However, I never use this on the plane only after I land and go to the bathroom. This is a sample of Gucci Bamboo from Sephora.

Bye for now,
Beth

New York: Week 1

Hello!

So my summer in New York began on the 19th of August ! I am staying with my sister who lives and goes to University here (recently graduated with a masters whoooo!) I would have stayed here for 5 weeks. I will be posting a new week every week! Soooo... these posts are behind by about 3 weeks.

So my first week was  spent exploring numerous places starting with the 9/11 memorial. This is somewhere I’ve always wanted to go as the last time I was in New York the twin towers were still standing. There is a beautiful memorial that stands there now. There are two (one where each of the towers stood) made of a black stone with every ones name who was lost carved into it and around the square shaped memorial. The names light up at night and there are also flowers placed in the names whose birthday it is that day which I think is a beautiful touch to remember those individuals. The memorial is in beautiful condition and its respected in every way possible, by this I mean that there is no vandalism or anything scaring the memorial. The memorial then plummets into the ground with a mesmerising waterfall.

Next we visited Wall street and the Brooklyn bridge and walked along the seafront soaking in all the sun. The trips on the subway weren't so bad the only thing is that it gets so hot waiting for the train I can honestly say that I have never felt so sweaty!

Then the best thing happend….. We went to a Cat Cafe! Its called the Little Lions Cat Cafe and it was amazing! All the cats are up for adoption and it's very tempting to get one as I tried to persuade my sister and her roommate to adopt one. It was $6 for 30 minutes with the cats where you can enjoy a lovely (iced) beverage while the cats scurry around you and sometimes beg you for food.

We also paid a visit to the High Line Park which is an old abandoned subway track that has become overgrown with trees and all sorts. It has been beautifully converted into a “sightseeing” feature of New York a it takes you around some of the outside of the city. You can do all sorts on here such as sunbathe, grab an ice cream and at night they have a light show where dancers come up in costumes that light up, unfortunately I missed this.

That is the end of week ones adventures week two will be up next week.
