Rimmel London Lasting Finish Review

The Primer £4.99
Right this is my first go at a review!
Starting from the bottom so to speak.I did have trouble opening it after about 5 minutes I found that you just twist and pull to break the tape #spastic. After using my sisters Almay colour correct primer this Rimmel primer has a much thicker consistency which I love it gives you that security that your foundation will stay on.It has a refreshing smell sort of like a moisturiser smell lovely to use in the morning! When you put it on leave it for a minute and do something
else to let it "sink in".Then go on and use your foundation. However,I did find that when I put my foundation on its was sort of hard to spread in not sure how to explain its like a slight resistance when I use my expert face brush (real techniques).Overall it works really well it keeps your foundation on all day and even in the gym with slight wear on the forehead.

The Foundation £4.99
I've got the Ivory colour (100).This colour is perfect for me I feel that it matches my skin tone perfectly! To get your colour try testing it on your wrist. You can get the same in a heavier coverage (red top) but I find that less make-up is so better go for that no make-up look everyday with the medium coverage. The consistency is really nice not to thick. When your wearing it it doesn't give that "caked on effect".When applied over the primer this will stay on for ages just what it says!Im not sure if it actually stays on for 25 hours Im not up that long....ever!

These two items were bought on sale 2 for £10 so grab them while you can from super drug! Its usually £7.99 for the foundation and the primer £6.99 BARGIN!

Recent trips to London!

New Years

Platform 9 3/4
Piccadilly Circus
I know its a bit late but I've only just started my blog. Last year.I went down to London with my boyfriend and sister! I absolutely loved it the atmosphere was amazing! If any of you ever have a chance I would highly recommend it! I know this year you had to pay for tickets but we didn't we stood near Lambert bridge (just down from Big Ben) and we saw everything.Everyone was so excited you could just feel it in the air! People from all over the world came and saw the fireworks! I would however recommend that you get there early! Don't worry you wont get bored there's loads of sights to see and loads of 'acts' to watch. We saw a man who did the limbo! Being a big Harry Potter and Sherlock Holmes fan both platform 9 3/4 and 221b Baker street were a must see! For all shopaholics Oxford Street is a dream come true!It just ads to the festive season with the Christmas decorations hanging above your head!

Perhaps a pay day treat!.New years day is also a great day in London. There's a parade and everything!(Unfortunately I don't have any photos of the parade). However keep in mind London will be packed on both days hose of you who are not fond of crowds keep this in mind!

 Get away weekend !

TGI FRidays
Kingston
There's always a need for a get away weekend just to step back and have a breather .Perhaps after a long and stressful week? That's exactly what I needed! So my boyfriend decided to take me to his house in Epsom. This weekend was a "no work aloud" weekend just time to step back and chill (and shop). Saturday morning consisted  of me watching Alex practice golf for an hour which I surprisingly enjoyed! If you're ever near Epsom, Kingston shopping centre is the place to go for all shopaholics. Loads of shops with the biggest H&M I've ever seen! All students and money conscious individuals keep in mind the sales are still on!Staying in the students budget and still wanting to treat yourselves why not go to TGI Fridays? We did!Got two Starters (stuffed potato skins and fajitas nachos) for £20 just split it between you for £10 each that's a students treat! Sunday was our trip out to London after a lie in of course :) .We went to eat at the Hard Rock Cafe.Yes, a
Hard Rock
Yummmmm Burgers
slightly pricey "treat" but it was a first time visit and a well enjoyed meal and experience so its worth a few bob.If you ever have the chance to go i would highly recommend getting a burger they are sooooo nice. Also the alcoholic milkshakes (twist and shout) are also fantastic!Sadly again I don't have a picture as I slurped it up in one go!Bond street was next stop as last time we went to Oxford street last time. Couldn't resist the Massive Victoria's Secret shop!I mean three floors of heaven!(Good thing ! got paid).Would again highly recommend a visit they have all the costumes worn at the show on display to glare at and wish that you never ate that burger.Only joking :)
Secrets secrets :)

Moving in to Uni and meeting your house mates.

Its all a buzz! You wake up on move in day with only the clothes you haven't packed.Second guessing your outfit maybe? I definitely did! I had a van full of my stuff I  had to double and triple check to see if I had everything! The closer you get to uni the more exciting it all is!When you get to your uni you collect your keys and your student card which you will need to protect and never loose or else you cant get into the students union on a Friday night that is a must after a long week of lectures.

All my Stuff!

If you can find out who your living with before you move in it will make it a lot easier. At Chester they made different Facebook pages for the different halls so you could ask who was in what house or on which floor. In my case i'm in a house I knew 6 out of the 7 girls before I even moved in!It made it a lot easier got rid of that "awkward moment" because we had all talked to each other ans gotten to know each other
before hand. After your all unpacked and say
Finished Room!

that dreaded but exciting goodbye to your parents you finally get that sense of freedom....what do you do? you go to the student union (SU) and have a drink.Being in a house we share a garden with the house next door (6 Lads) we all went for a drink at the SU this is where the cringey icebreakers are useful."How old are you?" "what do you study?" "where are you from?".(Don't worry you will get used to using these on induction week).
Don't be shy be yourself talk and have a laugh and a couple of drinks!

What its all about?

Your first year at University is really something to look forward to. You'll experience everything from making new friends to loosing friends, being in your overdraft and never getting out, to being carried home after a night out. I'm here to help you through my experiences. As you are or may be a university student I'll help you in the fashion and beauty department by suggesting places to shop and items to buy that are within a students budget. I'll post every week on any subject you suggest; this will include beauty products, recent sales, hauls, uni life so far, trips out, Outfit of the day or week.If you have any suggestions or things you would like me to try you can suggest them.

XOXO,
  Beth
